Criss-Cross
— an adult psychological suspense novel
When a young woman is abducted, a history professor with a hidden past and unique skills must overcome his fear of exposure in order to solve the case.
As the community follows the trail of tenuous clues via wide media coverage headed up the missing woman’s father, a popular news anchor, personal connections to the crime become evident. But revealing secrets for two characters would mean sacrificing their own happiness--and possibly endangering one.

Original Pitch Placed 3rd in Nanowrimo's 2019 Pitchapalooza contest
Hear Our Voices! shout fascinating, young adult refugee immigrants who struggle, albeit with humor and gratitude, to acclimate to the USA.
Instead of focusing on the grim statistics, Hear Our Voices! (HOV!) provides an intimate look into 25 refugees’ lives—not just what they struggle with—but who they are at their core. This book exhibits their humor, their goals, and their natural inclination to be humanitarians themselves. Despite all that’s stacked up against them. Despite the chances they haven’t been given.
This book offers them a chance to speak.
In an age when politicians and educators are making decisions for refugees, it’s time to give them a voice of their own.
As a former K-College teacher of twenty-seven years, who primarily taught language acquisition skills, I have examined the biggest issues that face young adult refugees once they graduate high school. Much like prisoners who are released, there aren’t guidelines to “enter” the real world. Instead, they are thrust into it. Only through understanding the circumstances of others can we understand how they fit into this world and how we might be able to help.
This is what HOV! aims to do.
Hear Our Voices! They shout; I shout; you will shout once you know more.
